Question: Why does money make the world go 'round instead of love?
And diesels don't have spark plugs because they rely on compression to make things blow up. The glow plugs are just little heaters to help get things started when the engine is cold...
It is the preservation of angular momentum. It was caused when our solar system started as a cloud of gas and dust which gradually pulled itself together by its own gravity :P
Question: Why are the Chicago Whitesox called the whitesox?
Chicago White Sox got their name from the Chicago Tribune.
They used to be called the Chicago White Stockings.
(That paper pull their butt out of the sling more than once.)
(I'll stick with my last question)
What have you done to shock your neighbors lately?
I'm too embarrassed to say. The episode almost cost me my job.
Why do women SAY they want \"nice\" guys, yet disdain and shun them in favor of the very jerque-offs they constantly complain about??
since you didn't answer the neighbor question- if this counts- I was working with my church group on the neighbor lady's house and I came out the front and the other neighbor down the street (the white trash one) is out on his porch swearing at the top of his lungs into his cell phone saying \"you better pay my money you *&^*(*! (for what I can only imagine). So I yell at him down the street (not swearing) to shut his yap so my kids don't hear him swear- after a few more words he shuts up. I anticipate my house/cars being vandalized tonight.
As for the woman question - I can only refer you back to this
So - why do we drive in a parkway and park in a driveway?
Whats a parkway? Never heard of the term before....
Anyway, i imagine because maybe, just maybe, because they were named for what they were leading to - ie you go down a driveway to drive on the road..... pretty lame answer but then again i've never heard of a parkway.
Anyway.... what is the common name for polyethanylbenzene?
Last year the head coach and defensive Coord. were best pals, drinking buddies, and had sunday dinner at each others house. Both married with families, they seemed like a couple of ok family guys who loved football, and they acted like best pals.
Update to this season, head coach - divorced after 18 years and 2 kids in june, Def coord.- divorced after six years and 2 kids in July.
Anyway, to make a long story longer, my son caught the head coach(50y.o.) banging the Def coord's ex -wife (32 y.o.) late one night last week as he was looking for a lost kitten. She lives a few doors down from me, and there is a walking path behind her house and my son happened to look in the window and see. . . .and to make things worse, he locks eyes with the head coach. See the head coaches pal just moved out a few weeks ago, and he's mowin' dudes lawn already!
We had a block party and all the neighbors were telling me how he sneaks in at night thru the back gate, and leaves at 5:00 every morning. Etc, etc, ad naseum.
OK so heres my dilemna; The head coach is sometimes a real dick to the boys. He makes WAY too big of a deal about things like haircuts (makes them all get brushcuts...like him), and clothing(shirt and tie), and he's always ranting on about how the players have a code of ethics, and he rants incessantly about being representatives of the club, and how the boys must behave with character da de da de da de da.
So isn't banging your best friends wife, only weeks after he's moved out considered a form of not so desirable character? Thank god the def coord. quit coaching this year. He is a cop, and when he finds out his best pal is sneeking into his old place, banging his ex-wife, I think he will shoot to kill.
I confronted the coach, and in quite a pompous tone, he told me that he has done nothing that would land him in jail, therefore I should just shut up and mind my own business. I told him that he is losing respect from players because they know about his indiscretions, the worst part was that he didn't even seem to care. So now what should I do?
1.) Should I force him into being accountable, by making sure the right people find out?
2.) Should I just quit coaching and forget the douche bag, and find another team for me and the boy? (the boy now hates him and wants out)
3.) Should I kick the shyte out of him for being a total hypocrite, and then drag him behind my truck until he has more gravel up his anus than he obviously has in his head?
4.) Should I commend him for scoring with a woman 18 years his junior? Even if its his best friend's leavings.
I'd make this a poll if I knew how. It actually works out better this way, as I will gain more posts weighing in various comments, and hopefully advice. Manitou, I am a proud man, but I just don't think I have what it takes to be a top 10 poster  .
Anyway, please vote #1, 2, 3,or 4 and help me decide what to do.
Right now, I'm kinda torn between number 2 and number 3
Thanks for your help,
Dobb.
P.S. Van Halen tour announcement today...I guess we'll see if Ed can stay off the booze until Dec 12th at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary...thats the show they're doing for me

#2. If your son is no longer enjoying it because of the jerk, there is no reason to be there.
Hey Dob #2 sounds like the right answer to me. I mean you did what you could you talked to the guy, how he responds is up to him not you. I would be having a long talk with my son which I'm sure you already have done?
Dobb... ...just messin' with you. I thought is was funny as hell a while back when we were all whoring for post count.
You showed a very envious display of shamelessness.
You have a gift. You could be a force. :P
I know you have it in you...if you were to knuckle down and remove the bonds of pride.
Annawaz...keep us in mind if you need to unleash any random disregardience. :?
My vote is......
1.) Should I force him into being accountable, by making sure the right people find out?
He may not be doing anything illegal, but he is doing something immoral and inappropriate.
Since he has chosen to be a Leader and example to children, he has a higher standard to follow.
Even the mere appearance of impropriety is unacceptable.
(as would be the case if he were a Minister...another form of public Leader)
He can be forced to clean up his act and make public apology, or step down from his position.
Many lessons to the youngsters can be made here. You should gather all the Parents together, and force this issue.
Quitting is a bad lesson here.
Standing up for what is fair and right is a good lesson.
You can not shield these boys from the truth...more good lessons on real life can be helpful.
Good Luck Bro.
THANK you, already. Not that I haven't 'embellished' a post once in a while with pleas for you guys to hook me up with hott women, but at least I mention my GNX! :P

Dobb:
I'm with 'tou. Even though I voted to beeatch-slap the guy for his hypocrosy and mangled morals, the one YOU should be concerned with is your son. You can use this as an example of what distasteful and hippocritical behaviour is, and teach him why it's wrong and where actions like this get you in life. And of course, I don't imagine you care much for the guy anymore wither.
Fact is, there's always be scumbags who do things like this...he really should be forced into accountability (I like 'tou's idea of gathering the parents and confronting him about his hippocritical behaviour with their kids and the bad example he's setting); but for you personally, it's a time for you to do what right for you, and more importantly, for your son.

...I SAID...OH...NOTHING...NEVER MIND...I SAID ....OH ...IT'S USELESS. :? :P So...why does Steve Vai always make such effeminate poses? (shouts)...So...why does Steve Vai always make such effeminate poses?

squeal...
So...why does Steve Vai always make such effeminate poses? :?
Because they're RUSH and they can outplay anybody in the world. (they also are ALL incredible players, write great songs, and absolutely thrive on the live environment.) Seen 'em nine times, wish it was ninety! 8)
Why do I have to change my git'rs strings once a week and my bass strings only once a month?
That's just Geddy's way of not taking things seriously. Although the real wacko in the group is Lifeson. He's a nut. Neil's the serious one. REAL serious.
Strings will last 6-12 hours of playing time. Some brands will last longer, but probably cost a lot more per set as well. If you don't mind dull strings like me...(for just general practice crap) your strings can last twice the above time.
This varies for each player too. In general though...I think to answer why they don't last, is from poor habits, and corrosion. Sweat and harmful oils from the hands are a huge problem.
Now, lots of guys probably wash their hands first, but the best method is to use a dime size drop of sanitizer. It will kill the bacteria as well as evaporate harmful oils, and not soften your hands and callouses like soap and water will.
Then of course, always wipe the strings with a cotton cloth after playing, and use your favorite lube. Mine is Fast Fret.
Lots of guys also fail to polish those frets from time to time. You may not \"see\" it, but they corrode as well, and will be \"hard\" on strings.
Learn proper string winding. This will also help them go further, as they stretch. Plenty of online tutorials on this subject.
Brand selection is personal, but obviously some strings will out last others, due to craftsmanship or material. Stainless steel will outlast most others, but you loose tone. Electroplated plain steel like mine are a good compromise. I use D'Addario's. They will last longer than Ernie Balls for me. You have to try out strings to see what works best for you.
I wanna see Ted Nugent again. He's playing in Clarkston, Michigan this Sept. 1st.
If you could get free Concert tickets...what would be the Band you'd want to go see most? 8)
<edit>...I mean my lube is Finger Ease...my cleaner is Fast Fret.
I don't even care what they'd cost. I'd like to see the Floyd boys circa late-70's, or Peter Gabriel circa mid/late 80's.
Modern-day? I'd go see Dream Theater if the tix were free...(eeeeeasy, boys! )
(PS thanks for the string tips. And does my new avatar look macho enough for your hott friend??? 8) )
So why did concert tix go from 12-15 bux in the early 80's instantly to 40-50 bux in just a coupla years? I think it was McCartney's tour...tix for a stadium show were $45, the only concert ticket over $20 I'd ever even hear of. :?

Why do diesels have no spark plugs?

I guess what means more to you? Love or Money?
Seems we never have enough of either...
but money does seem to be the easiest to acquire.
Anyway, we are a Commercially based society.
So, money is what greases the wheel.
