    Peace,
    Dobb.
  • Thanks Dobb,

Yeah, she's in great shape considering that was my only electric until the sudden onset of GAS in about 2004...

All original except for the Dimarzio p-ups. This is the one of the post-Gibson lawsuit models hence the headstock doesn't have the \"open book\" style and the slight \"swoop\" in the body where it meets the neck.
The body is solid mahogany and it's as heavy as a Les Paul but still has great tone and sustain.

God bless my parents for not \"going cheap\" when I decided to start playing!
  • Tim,
I was not sure how to upload pictures?? But I remember someone talking about photo bucket and it being free. Here's a try. By the way how did you post your photos?? Very nice!!!

    God Bless!!!

  • Nice guitar Partch...I love that color too.
    Maybe someday I'll get a new(er) Ibanez.

    Tim
  • that thing looks sweet partch :)
    love the meal flake too
  • Wogs,
Yeah the Metal Flake is cool!! This guitar can look: Black, Graphite, Metalic Black, it just depends on the light?? But trust me as I have already stated: Even if Tim was taking these pics, they just don't do it justice!!!! I looked at so many of these, from Ebay, to Musicians friend, personal pics by those who own one before I bought it. Some of those pics looked realy good!! The day my JS showed up on the doorstep, and I unpacked it opened the case, and: My Jaw dropped!!! I just could not believe the difference in person?? Then I played it: WoW!!!

    God Bless!!!
    Partch
  • thats cool man
think I could hmmm barrow it :)
I could only imagine how that thing plays---opps I think I'm getting GAS
  • Wogs,
If you lived close by?? Sure I would let you try it!!! It's a very Inspirational guitar!! Not that I've played tons of them. But so far this is by far the best I have ever played!!

    God Bless!!

  • I have not bought any guitars this year. But I rescued a 1981 Peavy Classic, 2-12 inch speakers, 50 watts. Hi and low gain, and bright inputs, and an automix input, chours and reverb, and an effects loop The amp was no longer being used and was setting in a garage, the owner just gave it to me and said give it a good home.
I had to clean insect mud from the inputs, replace the dry rotted power cord, rewire the speakers, replace the final PA tubes and clean all the pots. But now the old amp sounds as good as any. I need to find the automix control pedal to test that function of the amp, and install a new power lamp assembly. Does anyone know about the automix function?

I can run stereo from my little red bean to the peavy and my fender champ 25 se, once I get the volumes balanced it all sounds pretty cool.

Haven't found the function info yet but maybe here's a switch.

  • Thanks, Zap! I down loaded a manual from the Peavey page and have been reading about the automix. Seems like you can blend the hi and lo gain inputs together, but I'm not completely sure I understood what I read.

But thanks again for the info on the pedal.

    peace
