but were concerned that Steph would be catty about it. The situation played out about as well as it could have.

I'm not so sure my resume would impress them...I've never been a skydiving guide or climbed Everest.
But I'd gladly help them with their stage outfits...
  • Glad you worked it out in an adult fashion. Now work up some old Coldblood and Stoneground tunes and let them women wail.
  • I listened to the songs you posted, and I would say move on from the old singer. She didn't hold a tune too well. If this one is worse, use her but keep looking until you find the singer you need.
  • Having a weak/er singer isn't going to help the band's sound...the singer is always the focus of the act. And two sub-par singers won't help.
That said...who could ignore a band with TWO hotties on stage???
  • I might be a day late and a dollar short, but here's my opinion. First, whew shes hot...okay, anyway what I used to do is close my eyes(because this takes away one of your sences)and listen to who is auditioning. Thats when you can here all pitch problems(slight as they may be)and how well they flow from note to note. Okay, she can sing(thank goodess).

What kind of stage presence do they have--I mean do they just stand there like they can't wait to get off stage or do they get in to it and get audience(or whoever is in room) involved. She seems to have that--then some.

Then, of course, what else do you want this person for, songwriting, percussion, additional intruments etc?

The old singer must know that communication to you guys was horrible, she seems to always have something going on--I'd say bye bye, maybe some other time. When your in a band that gigs--commitment is everything.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Good luck in what ever you decide.
  • I might be a day late and a dollar short,

That's funny, both of them used that line on me in the past two days.

I mean, it is what it is for now. Too early to tell, but having three vocalists really opens up possibilities - no more VL for harmonies, have actual backup singers.

If either doesn't work out, then we have a plan B.

Thanks for your input guys, I thought I'd share the situation.
  • Two female singers--you could do some Pink Floyd, or Lynard Skynard stuff or write somthing like it. Umm 8).
    There is a silver lining...
  • One more chick = SBC. Do Floyd. 8)
  • One more chick = The supremes
  • Get rid of one of the chicks.. Don't get the other guitar player...
    Make some money...

If you must put 2 more people on...
    Sax and trumpet...
  • +1 Less people = more money 8)

I do a DUO its hard to sound big but the cash is worth it.
We may add a drummer this weekend but a good Jazz drummer pulls his wieght big time IMHO. 8)

If you get more gigs and more crowds and more money...then its a good deal. if not you may want to rethink the Doobie brothers approach.

I used to be in a 5 piece it was a way easier gig ...just sing...but the cash was weaker. I sometimes think it was worth it when I flub a chord progression and theres no one there to coverup the mistake
  • Update? How the 'girls' getting along/behaving? Have they settled into their perspective roles and liking it? getting any good vocal weaving.. ala Jones & Richards? 8)

gees, shouldn't have to pry it out of ya!
