anyone who has read the amzing literature version of \"The hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy\" would understand my signature and would, surely deserve a pan galactic gargle blaster at my expense!

Don't worry. I don't think anyone here would try to out-weird you!! :P

    Insideout,

I appreciate your sense of humor too! Thanks for the vote of condifence!

    T L F,

Thank you for looking over my resume.

I would say I am locked out of banking--there is very little room for creativity in that industry due to its maturity, the extremely heavy regulation, and the (typicaly) very traditional, conservative corporate cultures. The main reason I left FirstBank was to get out of banking.

I'm not looking for a specific industry, but I would like to work for a dynamic, evolving company that thrives on change and improvement. That said, I don't have much experience outside of banking, so I've been applying a lot of places, but mostly to companies in sectors such as telecommunications, tech, aerospace, etc...

    What do you do?

    Archon,

I actually love everything with Douglas Adams' name on it, except that BBC TV mini-series to which you are referring. In my defense, Mr. Adams even says in the Salmon of Doubt that that series is only thing he's done of which he isn't proud. So in my opinion, the \"original\" is far from the best in this case!

  • Graphic Designer for 10 years. (No jpegs please).
  • I am a Network Sys Admin, currently contracted (not enlisted ) to the Air force.
  • Jagesso,
I am a Market Manager ( which basically means I oversee a marketing, engineering and sales group that designs hardware process equipment and solutions). The specific market is Protein Technology so any application in animal and plant protein work comes under this \"Market Unit\".

I asked if you were tied to the banking industry because up until a year ago, I thought I was really tied to a different industry but if you have the management skills and open mind, and your resume seems to say you do, they are likely easily transferable.
  • I am Maintenance Supervisor over a crew of 8 at Reliant Park (Home of the Houston Texans NFL football team). Yeah I know I know, they suck. :?

A lot of our work is defense related, things like optics used in laser guided bombs, also Predator and Global Hawk, and other targeting devices in the Infra Red spectrum. Been here twenty two years. Can't tell you anymore, I'd have to use one of our targeting devices on you.
