Thanks guys for the prop's on my Carvin. She does play nice.
Just a few sweet axes I've seen so far.
Yerf has some sweet axe's and looks like he is into the quilt/flame. Me too! D. Alexander (Floss!), I'm not sure I can call those an odd ball collection. Sweet hollow bodies in there! Like to see a close up of those axe's. Dave Z has a HUGE collection! WOW! You cant possibly use ALL of them... can I borrow a few? Pong, sweet Ibby. What is the bottom decals of your LP?
Great guits all around. Look forward to seeing more!
Hey DaveZ, what are those two guitars that have the funky headstocks and are turned away from the camera?
Those two guitars are BC Rich Stealths. One of them is for sale on ebay right now.... Here's a front pic of the stealth -
Willow - love that Carvin... what are the specs on it? I'm starting to look at Carvin, but I gotta stop buying guitars...... Here's a link to a new 7 string custom KxK guitar being built for me Custom 7 String
I don't remember those models of BC Rich, they remind me of this Mako XK11 i used to have. I'd like to post some close up's but i don't have anywhere to host them. The red hollowbody is 1 of only 2 that i know of in exsistence. It is my baby, iv'e owned it 7 times in total (long winded story). It is a Hagstrom Viking II out of the 70's Swedish made. The other blue one is Jay Turser with set neck and pups out of a Heritage Paul. Pretty nice player but lacks the soul and history that a lot of my other guitars have.

This is my second Carvin. I love the fit and finish and believe it is second to none. Carvin has a huge following but not a lot pro players. Don't understand why. Joe Walsh recently came on board though.
My DC127 is basically an alder body with a Ruby Red Stain on AAA Quilted Maple top. Hardrock maple neck, Original Floyd, abalone block inlays, sperzel locking tuners, ebony fingerboard, gold hardware and Carvin's M22SD/M22N pup's. It originally had active electronics but I gutted them and replaced with CTS pots and Switchcraft switches. I wired it so each volume is independent when both pup's are activated. Kept the coil taps and phase switch in the loop.
Your Custom 7 looks real sweet! I like the abalone skull/brain inlays. Pretty unique. That's going to be real nice when finished. Gotta love tung oil. I would love to have had build-up pic's of mine. Great documentation.
Thanks. The soloist is the \"Pile O' Skulls\" custom shop graphic.
The RR3 is Crimson Swirl
I like the Pile O' Skulls!
Noticed you are in Ankeny. I was in Des Moines for about 9-10 years before coming back to Northern Minn. Miss those Clive After Five jams in the park. Lots a Betty's! I lived about two blocks away so I never had problems parking. 8)
There are services like \"Photo Bucket\" that let you post pics online. Mine are from my webpage. If you dont have a webpage check into photo hosting services like photo bucket. They are free.
Here's my free ax. I still can't figure out what brand it is. If anyone recognizes it please let me know. I've customized it with the aluminum scratch plate and black knobs. It's my first guitar so I don't know how it stacks up to a \"real\" guitar, but it sounds good to me.
a little updated on the decal since yours but looks identical otherwise, no?
great job on the pickguard! the guitar got pretty good reviews. it seems that the Chinese guitars are last decades Korean jems and Japan's offerings from the 70's and 80's jems. The design and spec is already nailed now it's just about cost effective labor that keeps the prices down. It fills a void and allows those with less cash to play really nice instruments. If i had the $$ i would buy Gibs and Fends too. Well actually i would buy more vintage reguardless of brand name. http://www.musiciansstorehouse.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=S101&Category_Code=EG&Product_Count=13
Thanks The old pickguard just barely covered the compartment underneath so we widened it a little so it fit better. It makes it look a little fatter. I like how it turned out.
Now when I learn to play it, it will look and sound good too.
Nice guiitars folks!
Willow, I will join you with Carvins. I think they are great. love the DC127.
Here is mine, mahogany thru neck and body with 1/2\" flamed KOA top. π
Here is a shot of my CC275
I have also got a Taylor 210 and a NS32CE nylon string that I do not have photo's up on yet.
my first DC127 was Koa. It was tung oiled like yours but no flame. That flame looks sweet! I love that warm wood. I had the M22's in that as well as my current DC127. I need to reorder that again. Probably closer to $1,500 now vs. my previous purchase of about $900+, I think. Hawaii is cranking down on the koa so I would like to reorder that ride again.
My ruby DC does ACDC to VH with those hot M22's very well. But the koa tames them a bit and has it's own tone.
I see you have the same setup as I do. Did you order the DC127 and do the actives, etc. to create a DC400 and saved a couple bucks?
That CC275 and it's inlays looks sweet also. Nice choice's!

That amp doesn't get any mileage anymore.... I use two Behringer Truths 2031a's with the gnx4.
Oh...and never mind the colours in the background

My modest setup:

SCHWEET!
I can only imagine the endless array of tones you can get out of that thing with all of the possibilities those taps give ya. Very nice!

was that pickguard assembly stock?
I've come up with the same results for the guitar but I haven't seen a pic to confirm it.

Loving the graphic on the pile o' skulls - that wouldnt be a Dan Lawrence job would it?
Also, looking at your signature, looks like i might have to change mine - a classic movie to be sure.
