I recently came across these expensive little box things in different forums.
Has anyone used them with the gnx series mfxs?
Is it worth spending time looking for s/h units?
What can I expect?

I'm not 100% sure, but you may be describing what was used on Boss and Line 6 early XTlive units. The box supressed hf artifacts from the outputs of these units. Many complained of HF fizz on certain amp models. GNX4 remedied this with its own filter in the \"Speaker Compensation\" filters. You can enable either or both for XLR/Phones, or 1/4\" outputs.

yes originally designed for GT8 and Line6 as a mono unit and fitted in their loop in/outs
but now has a stereo unit that utilizes the stereo headphone out for any modeler that hasnt got the effects loop in/outs
