GNX4 Modding
I realise that modding might be a bit of a taboo subject here, but does anyone out there have any experience with modding their GNX4's?
The reason I'm asking is that the switches for amp channel select, and a few others will barely respond to me pressing them and I'm now considering replacing them with mechanical switches.
Any success or horror stories out there????
*** Edit: I just opened up my Gnx4 and found that the circuit board that runs underneath the switches had flexed a few millimetres. I loosened the screws a bit then carefully tightened them back up and it seems to be better for the moment.... Let's see how long this fix lasts!

Audio mods were swapping the common opamps for some with better noise floors. Even though they are better op amps, the fidelity and bandwidth of the GNX4 was enough to make measurable differences, but not much in terms of audio performance.
Many changed the op amps for the Headphone output. Nothing shouted from the rooftoops saying major improvements.
The only advantageous mods are the performance mods for the switches. Depends on how much someone wants to dig in, disassemble and drill holes in the cover housing.
