Rockin' the GNX3 into 2013
Hey folks-
Just wanted to say Happy New Year to my fellow GNX3 devotees (and to the rest of you ne'er-do-wells too;)
I'm still using the GNX3 a few times a week, mostly for practice but also for jams (via SPDIF to Emu 1820 DAW into powered monitors) with friends.
I'm also working on getting more familiar with low power tube amps. Still *love* the Guytronix Gilmore Jr. that I built almost 3 years ago. After three years of playing it into a bastardized 2x12 cab that used to be a Crate GX-212 I'm finally gonna install it, plus a weber blue dog ceramic 12\" into a tweed deluxe cabinet next month. Thanks to some awesome sale prices at Mojotone and a xmas check from mom (thanks, mom!) I am also getting ready to build a clone of a 60's Blackface Princeton Reverb. The other project I have under way (this will be somewhat of a marathon) is scavenging a chassis and some tubes, *designing* and building a homebrew amp based on what I find, and installing as a 1x10 or 1x12 combo in a beautiful, art-deco style 1940 Ward Airline radio cabinet.
