Missing forum threads ?

There used to be a heck of a lot of threads in the non-general forums (specifically GNX4) - as far as I can see they've disappeared, there's just stickies and (unsurprisingly I guess) a very few recent posts.

Archived somewhere, lost, or am I just being dense ?

The other funny thing is - if I select a user (such as yourself) or another that I know is a long standing contributor, and 'find posts by user' - I'll get several pages of results. The first page of result posts I can look at (curiously all in this general subforum) but subsequent pages are reported as 'No topics or posts met your search criteria'. Something somewhere's a bit screwed up.

I'm pretty sure it's relatively recent, a month or two back I was searching here to see what people were using as monitors.

Yeah, they killed the GNX4, now they are killing what was left of the forum. Still had a few links to some of my favorite, informative, threads. All gone now....

I guess it's time to say \"Goodnight, John-Boy\" before the last light goes out.

A day or two ago I emailed Adam.Anderson@Harman.com - that's the link for the board admin - to see what's happened. No reply as yet, I may give it another few days before I try the main digitech support line. No idea if he's still there or responsible for the board any more, but at least the email didn't bounce.

Sorry guys, I've been busy the past week or so. I have not been informed of any changes on the board, let me see if I can get ahold of Adam. Last I talked to him was end of July.

There's literally thousands of posts missing.

I've probably jumped the gun a bit, but I also mailed digitech support to see if anyone there knew anything. I guess expecting a reply from Adam after a couple of days was probably a bit much, but I didn't know if he was even still the board admin - last admin post was 2009 I think (and working for a large audio-related company myself, I know how things/people get quietly dropped/moved etc..)

Adam joined Harman only recently. In the years before, the user \"admin\" was Connie, for whom he took over. I'm assuming he is now \"admin\", but he hasn't posted here.

I can't imagine this board is at the top of his priority list, but he always gets back to me, so we'll see what's going on.

Gen Discussion often have a lot redundant commentary/questions, plus the infrequent activity here I'm sure suggests no real need to consume the space.

Exactly, General Discussion is the redundancy. But it's all the unit-specific threads that are gone. So I'm thinking that possibly they decided to phase out support for GNXs completely (leaving General Discussion because the newer RPs, etc are sometimes mentioned here). Or, it was a mistake.

Hopefully that - after all, the older/clunky sound community board/archive from circa 2005 or before is still there - the music sample/patch contributions are only just in double figures for whole of the last few years.

I got confirmation that this was not intentional, and we'll try to get the posts back online. It might require a backup/restore operation, so more recent posts might disappear as a result.

Unfortunately, I don't look at all the boards every time (usually just unread posts), so I didn't notice when this first happened. The first time anyone mentioned \"threads missing\" was August, about two months ago. If anyone has more accurate information, please let me know.
