Vocal Live 3 and GNX4 How to connect a microphone

Hi,
I have Roland AC 60, Vocal Live 3, and GNX4. I figured out how to connect a guitar. How do I connect a microphone to utilize Vocal Live 3 and GNX4?
Thanks,
-Duke

    Whattya know. That EXACT same gear I have! 8)
    I run my git'r into the \"git'r in\" of the VL3, then out of the \"git'r thru\" to the GNX4 git'r input, and the GNX's 1/4\" output to the git'r input of the AC60.
    Then run the mic's cable into the mic input of the VL3, and the mic output to the mic input of the AC60.
    That way you get an unprocessed git'r signal to the VL3 for it to create harmonies; then the raw signal gets passed on to the GNX4 for FX and then on to the amp. And the VL3 passes harmonized vox to the mic input of the amp.

    Be sure to have someone at the edge of the stage to fend of the hordes of groupies that are awed by your incredibleness. Happens to me all the time. :roll:
  • It's a pretty straightforward setup, are you asking about the order or the specific ins/outs on the devices?

    Guitar -> Vocalist -> GNX4
    Mic -> Vocalist

    Then probably both GNX4 and Vocalist into the AC60, since it has both inputs. You'll have to use the 1/4\" out on one of them.
  • Hi Shredd,
    Thanks, however I'm still confused, triy to find the mic out from VL3...
    Are you referring to the 2 XLR's of VL3?
    Many thanks,
    Duke

    I'm assuming you've USED the VL3 already...
    There's only one XLR mic input, it's a female. Cable from the mic goes in here.
    There's two XLR outputs, malem labeled \"Left Out\" and \"Right Out\"...you can use both for stereo output, or push a selector switch and then both are identical mono outputs (so you can use just one) and go out to the AC60's mic channel input.

    For the git'r: one 1/4\" jack is labeled \"git'r in\"...git'r plugs directly into that. The 1/4\" jack labeled \"git'r thru\" goes out to GNX's git'r input; then from the GNX's 1/4\" output to the AC60's git'r channel input.

    Tell ya whot. Get me Anne Hathaway's cellphone # and I'll come over and set it up for ya. :P
  • Thanks Shredd, it is fully well described!
