Welcome to the show. We have lovely gifts for you backstage.
So, tell us 'bout yerself...whattya play, what's your gear like, how long have you played, & did Anne Hathaway ask about me the last time you bumped into her at Starbucks??? :P
You're a little late for the party. Although a core number of us are still here, there was once hundreds of people here. I guess most moved on out of the GNX series and into some other pedal board.
Didn't even notice that. Seems like there's more spammers hawking their garbage (\"buy an iPad for $99, and Katy Perry will give you h#@d!\" ) than there are musicians or GNX users.
Personally, I advocate a Constitutional Amendment requiring death by public stoning for all hackers and spammers.
Just checking in myself today. Hope our new visitor did not get scared away after their first post. There is lots of good info on this board and there are still some active people willing to help any newbies. Seems funny to think of newbies looking for help on a product that has been discontinued..... Oh well, life goes on.

You're a noble and trusting soul, 'taus. But anyone who pimps a website in their signature on their first post isn't here to discuss git'r gear. They're here to separate you from your money.
Well, they can't get what I don't have. Me and money parted ways long ago. Although I have been working, again, for the past year and am slowly trying to pay off years of school and credit card debt from that time. I'm not complaining, I was never too broke that I could not sit down and play guitar. In fact, my GNX4 was a great companion during those lean times as I was able to jack in and play or practice for hours, days, weeks, months while I was sending out resumes and looking for a job - and not getting any replies.
At least I got much better on the guitar during that time. And playing in my band gave me something to look forward to. Now, I've got a good job and the band is struggling to get live gigs. The economy around here is picking up a little, but the live venues for playing music took some big hits during the bad times. Most of the great old places for bands to play at have gone under. Two of our steady venues went under this past year and that leaves mostly nothing local for us. Good thing I have a day time job. At least it keeps me busy....
Yeah, when someone posts and leaves, it looks like it was just spam. I agree.
I think it's great that you got immersed in git'r while things were slow for you. i'm there now, but somehow the 'fire' to play, write, record, anything, isn't there. It's really discouraging. I've even tried to remind myself that when things do start happening job-wise/etc, I won't have as much time to play as I do now...but it hasn't worked. In fact, I've done my best stuff when I was working, and the passion to do music was also there.
Sorry to hear the gigging thing isn't going as well...but at least you've got the band playing together to enjoy, even if there isn't gigs/money in it.
And yes, I still advocate a Consitutional amendment stipulating death for hackers and spammers. Drawn and quartered in a public place would do.

Durned Canadians and their government grants...
