Pro Tracks software
I purchased a used GNX4 from Guitar Center and it did not come with the Pro Tracks Plus software. Is this software still available? If not, is there another version that is compatible with the GNX4? One more question, will this pedal board be compatible with Windows Vista?

First off: I'd recommend against using PTP. It's pretty flimsy s/ware, and much better is available, including some that are free.
In it's defense: it's the only s/ware that allows hands-free recording with the GNX.
If you really really want it, or to just try it, I think iliace has it on his website.
As far as whether to use it with Vista - all I can say is, why use Vista for ANYthing?!? :roll:
As far as hands-free recording, you can do it in Sonar as well - not sure about other software brands.
GNX is actually \"compatible\" with most software that uses some form of WDM or ASIO.
Never tried on Vista - you can find a lot of threads on this forum discussing what works, what doesn't, and how to get up and running.
I still use PTP because I got used to it.
I am in the process of finding something better and I definitely want to keep the hands free
poor guy.. lol..
I was kinda partial to PTP myself because I did'nt want to fork out more cash. I get a lot of Audio Snap/Crackle/Pop and Clicks from it...
I was fortunate enough to get a Yamaha MM6 Workstation a few years ago, and it came with Cubase Ai4, and it is amazing works with my GNX4, and GNX3000. no hands free, but thats ok... No Auduo quality issues what so ever, I use Windows 7 64-Bit.
Edit, I almost forgot...
You can get a usb footswitch and assign the keyboard letters to it for hands free recording using any software....
(EG.. Space-Stop/Play / R-Record / W-Rewind / etc...)
