a pl splitter on my bad monkey output hurt sound quality?

I want to connect a pl splitter to my guitar pedal (bad monkey), so one cable will continue to the other pedals(and finally - to the amp), and the other directly to a digital tuner. will it hurt the signal going from my guitar to the amp, and therefore hurt my sound quality?
btw the tuner i'm talking about is from a multi effect pedal with really BAD bypass,
so i want it out of my chain.
Thanks in advance!

  • Audio engineers, tone whores and purists will advise against it, but for every day use, home recording and live performances any signal degradation won't be noticeable by the human ear.

    You'll be fine.
  • thanks!
does it matter if I have something simple? should I buy something special?
btw.. I use a digitech bad monkey which has two outputs: an 'amp' one, and a 'mixer' one. can I connect the tuner (which has very bad bypass so I want it out of my chain) to the mixer out?
will it change the output coming from the 'amp' output?
    will it harm the tuner?
