can I get a vote?
I know this is somewhat unconventional, but I thought I'd try it. If you feel like this is unnecessary solicitation, let me know and I'll remove it.
The bands around here on the Baltimore, MD scene are working to form a sort of alliance to get original bands in this area into the big leagues. Details aside, right now we are trying to get votes for our friends, Sons of the Radio, to be eligible for a nice record deal and a national tour.
If you have a minute, click on the link below, scroll down until you see Sons of the Radio (they were in top 5 last I checked), and just click the radio button to vote. No registration; all that is required is a unique IP address. You can do this daily, from each Internet connection, or whenever your phone reception goes to a new tower.

If you're one of those people who don't vote for just anybody because someone asked you to, do check them out: they're legit, one of the up and coming bands in the area, and a killer cover band if I may say so myself (when the gig calls for it).

The reason I ask is, it looks like a lot of groups are playing the system. The top band in the voting ranks is getting, at times, an average of one vote per minute. How can they do this, with only 300 or so fans?
Good news is, the groups that are in top 10 at the end of February get a review and an interview with the record company; ideally, this is where the bad and ugly gets weeded out from the good. And Sons have the resume.
Their lead guitarist, Mike, does use a Digitech RP250 in his setup, though I'm not sure of his endorsement commitments. Just thought I'd throw that out there
Post back with comments/ideas. And cast a vote if you will, it only takes a few seconds.
