Jam Man foot switch FS3X

all of a sudden my foot switch started acting up...it will not go up when I press the up button ... it goes down.

The down button works as it should.

What could be the problem?

Hmmm... is it plugged in all the way in the back of the GNX?

yes it is...if I unplug and re-plug? a couple of times sometimes it works for a bit...then does the same thing...now having said that...maybe it is the chord...will a standard 1/4 plug work?

Either that or internal wiring... the cable being a more likely culprit.
