RP155 troubleshooting

I already own a RP150, and I decided to get a 155 used through eBay. Well, it came and reeked of smoke (not in the listing), but not a big deal. I plug in the power jack, and the screen lights up, showing the following:

It never goes away, and none of the buttons, knobs or pedals change the screen. Needless to say, it doen't put out sound when connected to my amp or headphones (through the headphone jack on the back of the 155).

Has anyone ever seen this before? Is there a solution to get it to work?

I do plan on sending it back to the seller if I can't fix it.

    ok, so emailed digitech. quick response, considering I didn;t buy it new. anyway they said to run Netupdater on it. I did, it came back finding it had the most current firmware. But the factory reset did not run. I tried it manually with the store button, nothing there either.

    I'm guessing it is fried.
