Sound on Sound

Howdy folks. Has anyone figured out how to get David Gilmour's sound-on-sound effect out of any of the GNXs? You can see a great example of this at :56 of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPL3O7NmgpI. There are a few \"how-to\" vids on youtube as well, but they're using Boss & Line 6 products and I can't seem to make my -3 do what they've done. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    If I understand what you're trying to accomplish here, you can set up your delay feedback to RPT HOLD. The best way to do so is assign the parameter to the expression pedal, with RPT HOLD being max value. Then play something and press down the expression pedal like he does in the video. Whatever the delay captures will repeat, and you can play over it. Mess around with delay time to get it right for your intended use.
