RP155 not able to record
Hey everyone,
I've had an RP155 for a while now and I've never actually tried to record anything to my computer directly from the device before. I recently tried to record from the pedal and it won't record. My system recognizes the the pedal correctly, but whenever I use any type of DAW recording program, the program just holds and doesn't show any input. So far the only way I've been able to record is by recording via the microphone jack, but it's just not the same quality, and only mono sound.
The main program I use is Audacity, but I also have Guitar Rig 4. Also, I've been able to use X-Edit to change presets on the pedal, so I know at least that aspect of the device is working.
My system specs are:
AMD Phenom II X4 945, 3.0GHz
16GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
If anyone has any advice or a link to a \"Dummies Guide\" to be able to get this set up it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

has manuals, software setup guides, yada.
In the words of the wise Confucius: \"always observe polarity\".
Er...what I meant was...just be sure your connections are right, the choices in the various software and O/S setup boxes are right, yada. It's usually something simple.
Of course, I'd be glad to come over and get you up n running, in exchange for setting me up with Shania... :P
Control Panel>Hardware and Sound> Sound> Recording Tab> Click on the DigiTech device and then select properties. it will bring up a window. click on the \"Listen\" tab, then check the box labeled \"listen to this device\", then click apply.
should be good to go!
I use Windows XP Pro.
Open Audacity, 'edit', 'preferences', in the 'devices' window there's the three windows...'interface' 'Playback' and 'Recording'. In the Interface menu i selected MME, in the recording drop down menu i selected the Digitech device, in playback select the audio device to play back via your computer(or select 'microsoft sound mapper - output' to play back via your amp).
I'm new to playing geetar(i play keyboards mostly), so i'm figuring out the recording to PC myself, i use Reason, Acidpro as well, if i can help anymore, i'll try.
