Need help lookin for an acoustic.
Hey guys
How's it goin? 8)
Well I lately have been lookin at acoustic guitars and need a lil bit of help.
I'm mainly an electric player but for the past couple of years i've been looking to get an acoustic. A year and a half ago I bought a cheap squire acoustic to see how I liked it. And it definetly has grown on me. Now I am wanting something a little better. So I thought I'd ask for help from you guys. What's a really good acoustic you can get for about $400-$600.
Thanks for the help.

For an entry-level but still decent ac/el, look at the Dean Exotica. I have one (a 2002) and swear by it. I'm betting a Takamine would be nice too.
For acoustic-only: Martin has a coupla entry-level git'rs in that price range. I think Seagull and/or Breedlove's are probably worth checking out. Entry-level Taylors are just barely in your range; Taylor's a fine git'r.
I'd avoid Epiphones, Yamahas, Fenders like the plague.
I liked this one, and there's a used but like-new, warranteed one for $527:

Ebony fretboards give me \"wood\".
I'd say the first thing is to figure out if you want elex or not. Then - start playing stuff! Go to the GC and spend an afternoon. They'll all feel different, sound different...if you're lucky, one'll jump out at you as THE one for you. If nothing else, you'll have lots to compare and choose from.
Remember...tone is in the ears in the head up the @$$ of the listener. :P
Takamine EF series
Martin 000cxe or DX1E
Breedlove D25
this is one that surprised me. kind of take off on a T5

Probably the Takamine, or the Yamaha..
Later.
I have an old Yamaha acoustic that has a tone that is second to none.
I'm gonna try and go to my local music store tommorrow and find something. So thanks for all the ideas and help.
