GNX 4 or 3000?
I was wondering what is better overall. A GNX4 or GNX3000? I own a GNX4 but was thinking of buying a 3000. Does the 3000 have anything that the GNX4 does not?
I heard the 3000 patches sound better. Is this true? What about the built in drums? Have they been improved or changed in any ways?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

GNX3000 only has one drum kit; GNX4 has multiple. But the one that it does have sounds decent, and it still responds to MIDI note messages.
There was some change in amp modeling that guitar3456 explained a while back and I don't remember exactly now - something about how EQ settings are applied at a different point in the model, or they don't get saved with the custom amp model, something along those lines. It's less flexible basically. The amp models themselves, however, are more detailed, which gives you back some of that flexibility.
Also, compared to GNX4, the acoustic simulation on GNX3000 is weak, IMHO.
EDIT: completely forgot, since I've been using 3000 for years now - you know how you can assign any parameter to the middle three footswitches on the GNX4? Yeah... on GNX3000, not so much... I was blown when I discovered this.
Wow. Thanks for the post.
