how to set up rp500 for recording in Win 7?

I've looked all over the place but I haven't found any simple yet specific step by step instruction on how to set up the rp500 with windows 7 for recording with the cubase software included. Can anyone help me? I've done everything there is to do with it except that I'm stomped on the soundcard setup part.
