CHARVEL 750 XL!!!!!!
        :!:
So I go to meet up with a good friend at the neighboring G.A.S station (aka music store around the corner) and the salesdude knows my friend and says \"Hey!....look at this Charvel that just came in.\"He said it was a model 6 from 1989 and it came with \"this\"...........

evidently this was from her auction and explains why this \"supposed 89' model 6\" was NEVER EVEN PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!There is NO pic swirls, fretwear, deep scratches, all screws except 1 are original and there are 2 micro nicks in the finish.Other than that......it has the warranty card, trem arm, trem tools with holder, and the absolute best chainsaw case I have EVER seen. After selling my Model 2,I always wanted a model 6..........but they are like hens teeth!
So I pay what I offered in \"cash\" and split with hopes of flipping it for about $600-$750 at best
.I get it home and give it a test drive...........it IMMEDIATELY grew on me.GIBSON SCALE NECK,extremely thick arch top and the schaller floyd was mega responsive!!!The original Jackson pick ups sounded incredible in this guitar that appeared to be \"neck through.BUT!....this thing was thick and heavy like a Les Paul and I have NEVER seen a Charvel with this :?
Upon checking these 2 links.........I proceeded to stutter vocally and then messed my britches!!!! :wow:

Lo and behold what I really have is a very rare Charvel 750 XL only made in 1989 and its in AWESOME condition!!!
Here it be!!!!!!!

needless to say....I don't want a model 6 anymore
any thoughts? :P

I don't care who you are. This is very cool in several ways.. WTG :!:
When I started reading I was expecting to see some water soaked ax
I love hearing these accidental but awsome finds.. Still gonna flip it for $600?
Curious though... Gonna tell the sales dude what he gave away? I am also curious about the certificate of authenticity.. It doesn't say specifically what the item is??? So theorectically couldn't you tape it to an old toilet seat and sell it for $75? Regardless excellent find 8)
I worked on a restoration of an old truck for one of the Mandrell sisters I think back in 87-88 :? I have met Barbara and Irlene so if I make a few calls I could find out.I know that the signature is right because I have compared it with others from a friends collection and the marker bleed on the back of the parchment shows pressure points. The auction was real and so is the letterhead for that time period from what my sources have told me.......................I'm in no hurry to sell it and its good enough for me.I stopped collecting autographs decades ago and I don't have $$ signs in my eyes on this either.
there are guys that have dreamed about having one of these guitars and thats who I want to sell it to......not some collector that frames the paper and shoves the guitar in a glass case.I have had many people interested so who knows. There is a very used beater 750xl on ebay starting at $600........theres a restored 750xl on ebay for $800.....theres a #2 condition original for sale out of a private collection for $1500 so thats closer to what I feel this guitar deserves and if you want to post the auction notice on the commode then fine
YES!.......this IS the model Shawn Lane played

being that Barbara is country.....explains why there is no wear on this instrument !
I put one on and the switch mounting screws just knocked it back off  So that could be a good reason why its gone to begin with
I played this thing for 2 hours yesterday and I lost some serious sleep over it :x
Hey that vid was awsome! He was such a tallented guitarist 8) Hey did you notice His knob was gone from the pickup selector as well? Now that is concistency
I didn't doubt it was an authentic certificate ... Nor implying you just throwed it up there .. Without the item specified on the document, I was just wondering if the previous owner may have just added it in, to maybe get a buck or two more??
MMMmm ..
Yes it is!
I asked and they don't label stuff like that at personal auctions. They usually have a lot number on the Item and a description in the master list.Miss Mandrell out of courtesy signed those for the buyers since most were fans 8)
I just put 5 more of my guitars and basses up for sale so I can keep it  :x
Ok, IC ..
sorry........facetious mood at that moment of posting.........which has since been nil'd by the days events currently pending :x
