My \"altered\" amp
Yeah-yeah....nothings sacred to me :P (j/k)
Heres the story.......I started out on a 30 watt tube amp from sears (i think 1978)....it was my sisters. Then i got a peavey Bandit 65 at 18 and never used the speaker much as I always ran the pre-amp out to a mixer and then came out of my home stereo that sounded soooo much better than the 10 or 12 inch scorpion that was with it.Then I went to a fender princeton chorus-accoustisonic-marshall-mesa...........I spent more time fiddling with the tubes and such so I sold them all!
3 years ago.....I decided to get some modeling amps so friends could jam......the pa I run my gnx4 through is great for recording and noodling but not loud enough to blend with the drums.I used Vox valvetronix and line 6 but nothing more than 60 watts and I missed the sound of a powerfull amp sending the notes clean through your spine and re arranging internal organs :P So when I went to NAMM 07 (winter) ,I checked out everything out there including Johnson, since I'm a major Adrian Belew nut 8)
I settled on a Line 6 Vetta ...................but not just any vetta............one that has........well........never been made before
I found a 1 month old Vetta 2.5 150 watt combo for $700 .The problem was that I don't like the top facing controls.I like to see them forward like their Vetta HD.
So here's what I did.................I found new HD cab empty on ebay uk for $25  A friend of mine was kind enough to grab it and ship it to me.I then fabricated the combo chassis to fit in the HD casing. So now I get what I want  Along with the Vetta 2 \"mini stack I created.....I also have 2 expansion cabs for variation. One is an old Ampeg 2X12 with Celestion GR1270's that is a closed cab.The other is an original late 60's Silverton 2X12 with a pair of Jensons.
In the end i have a small set up that does an incredible array of tones and is plenty loud enough to re arrange the internal organs on 5
If you notice,I had to flip the head case upside-down to successfully adapt the combo chassis inside...........no modifications were made to the chassis and can be re-installed into the combo in 5 minutes!
heres a stock set up..........

heres mine........

the engineering dept offered me tenure :P

and
thanks guys! 8)
but
do you think I voided my warranty?!?!?!?! :P
Hey Fellas... look what happens when you poke him in the cyclonic.
Do people really send them cards in? Wow... What a novel idea..
Hey just tell 'em .. hows it ur problem.. it came outta the box that way!! :P
Actually.....to upgrade your amp software you have to register it before you download....I'm not worried because I'm more than happy with what I have.I won't go back to tubes unless I play out again and I'm not holding my breath on that ever happening
actually I got my name from when I frequented car forums because one of my cars is \"this\"....a 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT 429tj fully loaded #209 all original.......
I also am restoring this 1968 Mercury Cyclone GT

I assume you do both body and engine work?
Back in the day ... my buddy decided he wanted to put some 50's on his 68 Firebird .. so we set out to flare the wheel wells/fenders .. Three times we did this, and each time they came out perfect! Till the next day when we looked at them .. On the 4th try we decided to lose the beer. Oddly enough they still looked good the next day :P
Looks like they are performing the \"Cyclonic Colonic\" :P
Thanks!.....I have yet to decide on the 68 :? maybe like the cale yarborough special
All phases of body alteration, all phases of mechanical, interior, glass and wiring....you name it...I did it
I've seen and heard worse stories :P
