Hello again
I wanted to drop by and say hello. It has been awhile, too long really, since I stopped by.
Things got a little crazy for me in January, I became a member of the heart attack club at the age of 54. Was in the hospital for 10 days or so because arrhythmia that showed up a few days after the heart attack. So for the last 90 days I have been wearing an external defibrillator 24 hours a day, except for bathing. And I have been on disability since January. (thank goodness for insurance)
But all is well in River City. The ol ticker is healing nicely according to the doctor. I have to go back in the hospital next Tuesday. The doctor is going to run a wire up to my heart and take control of the beating of the heart. He is going to speed it up and slow it down and see if any more arrhythmia shows up. If no arrhythmia then my healing is complete and I can return to work the first week in May. If the arrhythmia shows up I will get an implanted defibrillator. The doctor does not expect to see any problems. I have been walking three to four miles a day on Monday Wednesday and Friday since being released from the hospital Feb 1.
I am still playing at church every Sunday, the only weekends I missed were the one's while in the hospital. Still using the GNX-3. I have composed three or four songs and hope to work out arrangements with the praise team. I will miss the men's fishing trip from church because that is when I'll be in the hospital next week. Darn it anyways.
So y'all take care, I'll drop in and let y'all know what happens Tuesday. As always consider Jesus as the answer.
peace
Mike B

Be sure to play whenever you get the chance. Music is the best therapy there is.
