New Roland V Studio 20, and other random ramblings...

I am saddened to see this once bustling site turn into a virtual ghost town
I have learned, laughed, and been thoroughly entertained by both the people here and the music some of you have created...im getting VER CLEMPT...on to something else
Anyway, looking ahead to the day my gnx4 gets retired, I'm looking for suitable replacements.
I have a ton of interest in the digidesign eleven rack (minus the fact that it runs with pro tools LE), but I am also looking for something more portable to take to work with me. I have a new laptop with an intel i3 430, 4 gig ddr3 ram and a 500gb 7300rpm disk drive running win7. The upside, hella more horsepower than my previous laptop, the downside, no firewire. There should be more than enough computing power to run the eleven easily, maybe even sonar producer.

These units arent going to be available for two more weeks or so, but I was considering pre-ordering one. I would appreciate to hear anyones opinion on the unit from what information is out there. I love the fact that you can upgrade to full sonar, and the fact that it runs windows 7. It definately seems as though its built with the guitarist in mind.
