Stereo effects loop question (pertaining to GSP1101)
I have a Parker Fly Deluxe guitar with magnetic and piezo pickups, which I would like to configure in a true stereo setup. I am planning to use an external preamp in the Digitech GSP1101's preamp loop using the 4-cable method (the piezo pickup has an on-board active preamp).
If I use the 4CM with the GSP1101, I would be connecting the magnetic pick up's signal to the Line Input on the front panel of the GSP. The GSP's Loop Send would route the magnetic pick up's signal to my preamp's input. The preamp's effects send would send the magnetic signal to the GSP's Left Loop Return.
Now on to my question...
Thus far, this connection leaves the GSP's Right Loop Return open, so could I then connect my piezo pick up's output straight into the Right Loop Return and maintain a true stereo audio path? Will the piezo pick up signal then be routed through the GSP's Right Line Output?
Sorry for the complicated question. I hope I described it thoroughly enough. Thanks in advance for your advice!
