1806
Hi all,
I finally took out my guitar from its case and recorded something after 3 years. Apologies for the lack engineering or mixing, I am still trying to remember how I used to do all that stuff...
As a sign of my creativity(!!!) I named this 1806 because I finished at 6:06pm

WTG .. thanks for sharing.
I liked what you were doing.
I hope this doesn't fall under unwanted advice..........
On the down side, as you already mentioned, the mix was pretty scrambled. I am listening through DT770 Pro headphones, so I hear a pretty truthful rendition of what is in your DAW. I have a couple of suggestions, but I am not a pro at mixing either.
Maybe the guitars could use a little wider stereo field so they wouldn't be on top of each other. Pan one far right, the other far left. And maybe roll off the lower harmonics of both guitars so the bass could breathe a bit more. Not enough to change the tone, just enough to kill any harmonics that compete with the bass ans kick.
As Slacker had pointed out I am having some serious problems in mixing. I posted a few messages at other help sections and iliace was kind enough to give some pointers, but for some reason I can't use Sonar 8 like I used Protracks.
Simply put, the only way I can pan things left and right is if I select \"Left digitech input\" as my audio input(weird?) and then use the \"pan\" slider under \"FX Send 1\" (since master pan and stereo controls are not responding) so.. I am probably rambling but as you can see I am at a bit of a loss. I'll try to figure it out this weekend, I definitely need to improve the mixing aspect.
Wish me luck
Ok, 2 complaints, well not really a complaint, but I agree with SlackerG on the mix.
I too, not great at mixing, but on pan I put Rhythm 75% one side and Lead 75% other side. I have found that this also helps bass come out a little better.
Other than that...Great tune.
