Preview - \"Somebody [Without You]\"

Emovere (pronounced \"emma-vare\"), the band I joined back in October will be releasing our first song this coming Saturday. The sound we're shooting for is a cross between Evanescence and Within Temptation.

Thought I'd post a little preview/teaser track for some old friends here. The full track is 4m 30s complete with vocals.

  • Hey dude.
Checked out your site and your Music-Vocals page sounds killer.
    :!:

Haven't seen you post in ages. It's Good your still Jammin.
Good luck with your first release. Demo sounds a little bassy and loud but from hearing the other stuff on your site I'm sure you'll know how to correct it for final.

    Peace 8)

Yeh, still tweaking the mix. Completely different setup used to record this song vs what I used for the previous recordings. Higher quality gear, but takes more tweaking. Go figure. =)
  • Good stuff. I bet the album will be a blow-over. Rawk on!!!
  • E.J.,
Great to here a new post from you. Learning new gear and how it works is always fun. I will have to say that you were a big part in me getting a GNX3 and getting into this recording thing. I heard your posts on the old GNX site and I said to myself, I have got to be part of this. So thanks for the push. I beleive it was Run Her Down or something like that that lit the fuse thats still burning. Thanks for that. That was three guitars, and two versions of Sonar ago. Keep rock'n.
  • Wow.

Thanks for the kind words brother. Glad to hear I was able to provide inspiration for someone else to share their music with the world. Music truly is a gift to be shared.

On a side note, I think I have a good release candidate on the full song mix now. Pulled some bass out, bumped up some mid's, shifted some instruments around in the mix a tad so they weren't competing for space, then mastered with Ozone.

I certainly hope I'm getting close considering we've announced it's release date already. Talk about coming in just under the wire. :D
  • Been wanting to check this E.J.! Have not been able to at work but had some time tonight at home. Sounds great! Nice tease :D I deffinetly wanted more.. Anyhow I bet this will go well for you all! Take care man :D
  • Sounds really purfeshnal, get r dun

Gotta hear more of that. I think I read somewhere that you guys aren't together anymore  Maybe you can go solo--keep 'em comin'
