I'll Miss Your Lies
I'll miss Your Lies.
I was on a forum and peeps were telling about how long it has been since they recorded.
I also had to join in with my lack of inspiration. But something happened. We all got inspired for some reason or other.
This is a blues song. More Blues with heavy country roots. It could even pass as Rock A Billy. ( I threw in a nose yodel on the bridge to appease the country folk.) It may or may not stay when I record this for real.
I think it could get a bass line and a harp later. It is all played on my new Fusha Strat with Carvin pickups and a Telecaster neck. But the Strat is powerful enough to hold it's own for now. Just a modeler pre amp, no pedals. Slight eho and rvb on the Modeler.
All the various sounds come from the selector switch positions,
I recorded the vocals with a MXL 4ooo Mike. No compressor, and I ran it through an El Cheapo Behringer Zenyx 1202FX board into the DAW.

Me and the kids were tappin the feet too. Great job.
Thanks thatsastrat
I love that new Strat also. I would post a pic of it but the digital camera won't pick up the color.
If you are interested: I used Carvin Bolt pickups on it wired in a hum bucking mode. I used those particular pups because even when wired in that manner, they retain their brilliance as well as cancel all the hum. The other thing is that they have 12 pole pieces. When you bend a string the volume remains consistent because you never really get out of the range of the magnets. They sure are bright when you want them to be.
Thanks iliace,
I got called arrogant on one forum because of the Stunt finger thingy. I thought it was a funny thing to say, since all reality shows usually have a disclaimer at the beginning of the show saying.
\"These stunts were performed by professional stunt men. Do not try this at home.\"
Evidently some people who don't know me don't realize that I don't take my picking all that seriously.
Great playin'
