Hey t/a/s...
I really liked it. Nice acoustic riff, well played, nice touch.
I also liked the drum pattern.
If I were me, I'd put a kewl bass line to it, and maybe some KB touches...all of which, of course, would complicate the mix...but I think the melody is nice.
You might also wanna consider a couple of different \"movements\", such as a bridge or chorus type section...

Man that was sweet! I agree deffinetly a good start, plenty room for more.. What a great start though 8) Keep us posted. I think it was a good idea to get it down like you did, as to be able to work further with this song in your time & when more inspiration comes. Take care Strat Man!
