  • What drivers are you using? Pro Tracks Plus was designed around much older OS, so for some systems PTP is hit or miss. Start with making sure you have drivers to access the GNX and the sound card (when applicable).

You can't use XP drivers btw. Use the default USB drivers that WIN 7 loads when you connect the GNX. You can also try www.asio4all and see if those drivers will work for you.
  • Are you running it directly on 7 or under the XP VM?
  • ive tried all the drivers available on my computer. and i am running it straight through windows 7
  • New here, and also having problems wit PTP! I see that perhaps downloading the Firmware 1.4, is supposed to be the fix-all, havent tried it yet, I have a bad back, and been down, but would love to find out?
Everything else went smooth, with X-Edit and the drivers, just PTP, so let me know, please. Got everything else from Digitech site, but the firmware is only 1.3, so when you find 1.4, hopefully that will fix it up?
Like I said let me know please, and good luck!

I just installed PTP tonight and it's been a challenge without any help or patience to read the manual...

I found that in win7 I must have a microphone plugged into my onboard sound card for PTP to recognize it and load the drivers. Without the mic plugged in every time I load PTP, it won't load the sound card drivers and therefore wont allow me to play back any audio tracks.

When I plug in my gnx4 by usb, PTP sees it but won't load my sound card drivers, I'll have to search to figure that one out unless anyone knows the answer.

    try those for win 7
  • please help...I have an PC, sorry couldnt afford a mac ...any way i have pro tracks plus and an audio box installed on it...half of the time it works and of the time it drops out. I have done everything the program tells me to dolike, turn running proggrams, clean up you disk, turn of internet, bounce to clips....blah blah but its still drops out. What I cant figure out is if its the sudio box or protracks itself...or maybe even the PC? Its new and has 2 core processors and triple the RAM and all that computer stuff..ha...but I am loosing my mind...help any body got the same problem without the audios box? is it my computers sound cards...or is it a windows 7 deal? HELP
  • A Mac wouldn't help you with Pro Tracks fwiw.

What do you mean by \"audio box\"

If you have the GNX4 running on Win 7 try updating the firmware to V1.4

  • I have a HP Pavilion, recently bought, AND it takes a lot of work, but you can get it going, like they said, firmware, all updates, Im running x64, so it even works on it, just dont give up, I almost did, and glad I didnt!
