He all it has been an extremely long time since I posted anything Anyhow this I thought turned out pretty good till conversion of MP3, now I'm not so sure of the mix? Vocals need brought up? Anyhow tried alot of new things & recording techniques in this song.

Miced my Ovation instead of going direct. Harder BUT I think I like this & may stay with this technique & hopefully improve even 8)

All Electric guitar parts are my Mesa 5:50 no effects. There again never miced an Amp before just used the GNX4 direct modeling the Tones I wanted. Harder yes BUT again I think this is better & will get better if I just work at it I should get better Tracks in the long run.

Played the Fender AM Delux for this tune as well 8)

Anyhow all thoughts welcome hope you all can dig it & hey if not thanks anyhow for the listen & feedback. Thanks all!

The guitars sound good. Your probably right about the vocals needing to come up or bring the rest of the mix down. I don't know if I totally like the drums you chose yet so I will have to listen a couple more times. Good work just the same.

Eric .. Over all I think it is a good tune .. potential is there imo..

Ok.. now for the feedback Dunt da da daw From what I heard .. I think.. bring bass an drums down a bit .. vox up a touch then see where the guitar stands.. The bass an drums over powered alot of guitar and it got lost .. vocals forget it I really couldn't make out what was being said, most of it anyways... Maybe add a c-hair of reverb on the vox atleast where you don't have the harmony behind you.. and speaking of such I also thought some reverb could come off the drums too ...

But what I did hear of the guitar was real nice an so was the solo .. didn't sound like there wasn't any problem getting it over to tape.. Thought the vocals flowed pretty good with the song (just need to hear them.. LoL)

Well there's my 2 cent.. Just thought I would throw it out there.. as you probably know I have no clue what I am talking about.. But I do think it gets remixed you got anouther nice tune there! WTG 8)

Hey thanks guys for the honest feedback! I appreciate it 8) I'm going to redo the drums altogether more layed back track. I'm not going to bring the bass down persay but vocals up some I think in the verses especialy they harmonize with the bass well & make it hard to understand them, get lost a tad. So anyhow when I get this stuff done I will repost to get your new opinions on the 2nd cut. Thanks again fellows! 8)

I have listened a couple of more times and I am sure the snare is way too snappy for your song. Some brushes would work better with this song.
Just my 2 cents. You must produce how you perceive it to be.

Have you remixed since the other guys heard it? I thought the mix was just right! Good vocals and level. Simple not distracting drums, Rhythm level was fine. But I am listening mono.

However, my phones are very flat with little or no coloration to the freq spectrum. That being a given, on a real pricey set of headphones, the mix sounded just right.

I can't help much... I can't tell what the stereo separation is like because I'm Stereo phonically challenged.
