I bet yer still shakin'
Supermurgitroid.
Very smokin' cool jazz box man! I can dig it Daddy'O. 8)
Bet that axe sounds sweet even layin' down some clams.
Wish I wasn't such a rusty gate. :P
Mine showed up today..
All I can say is I'm speechless. I finally had to come up for air. I played a lot of LeGrandes, Johnny Smiths, but this axe is just something else. Jim Triggs is one hell of a luthier. My L5 is so cool, yet so different from this, which is exactly what I was looking for. The L5 has the routed in P/U's, and well, has that great L5 tone, like Wes. This Triggs model has the Floating P/U, and sounds like the most perfect acousitic guitar you've ever heard, when amplified. Completely balanced tones on all area of the fret board. Man..
I'll post some pics, mp3s, and vid clips.
In the mean time I'm thinning the heard. Going to get rid of about 7 or 8 axes. Just don't get much use out of them, and I'm sure someone would like to play them.
I'm going to Ebay at least the following.
Gibson Blues Hawk
Old beat up 69 Les Paul
Gibson ES175
Fender American Standard Tele, with Hip Shot B bender
Fender amereican Standard Stratocaster
Epi Joe Pass
Fender Fr50CE Electric Resonator.
I know I'm going to keep the following 5
L5
Triggs
Ramirez R4
57 Les Paul reissue
Ibanez Prestige
Getting the other ones cleaned up, restrung, set up and ready for Ebay.
In the mean time all I can say about the Triggs is
But it sounded like yer really happy.
Good luck with your sales, I hope they all fetch a great price.
It's gotta be hard to let them go, after they been in the harem so long.
It's not easy polishing off kiss marks.
May God Bless you and your family this Thanksgiving. 8)

Hey Tal,
Nice stuff to be parting with. I love my Blues Hawk, I'll be hanging onto mine for quite some time. It's funny, I had sold off my ES175 years ago, and that's the type of thing I was looking for when I got the Gretsch. I had an ES-175D, circa 1972. It wasn't awesome, but it was very nice.
How did you like the Epi Joe Pass? Is that an older one? I played some of the new ones and I just didn't like the feel. I don't think these Chinese ones have the build quality. The Korean stuff was great, and, of course, the old stuff fro Kalamazoo was super.
WOW, WOW,WOW......

Hmm....there's a few axes there I could add to my collection.....shame I'm on the other side of the globe  . Besides, I think I'll get divorced if I end up with another guitar anytime soon after buying my Dean not so long ago....
Merry F'n Christmas indeed!
Have fun buddy! 8)
