My First Original Piece....Gulp!

Well guys this is it, my first attempt at an original piece!

Moricambe Bay - Instrumental by Greg Taylor

GULP! :oops:

Full of mistakes and the mix is not great I know, best I could do in my crappy old headphones. I'll probably try and remix it when my shiny new ones arrive :)

I could say a lot more but I'm off to hide behind the couch now as this is the first time anybody has heard some of my original stuff.....other than the horse and the wife! :) and they're both sick of me!

    OK, here's my \"expert\" :roll: commentary:

    I liked it a lot!
    I'm stuck listening on my laptop - no headphones, even - so I can't make much of a judgement on sound/mix.
    But I loved the git'r sounds you used, and the tune had a nice groove to it. I especially liked the segue from the mellow open to the jammin' part.
    And your drum parts are very good.

    If I could actually hear it (e.g. headphones or actual speakers) I suspect I'd have comments about mix, instrument placement, and tones...but as I heard it, I thought it was pretty good. WTG!

    Pretty place too. Ever bump into Shania there? 8)

    8) Greg ( nifty ) I liked I thought it built and cresended pretty good and it definitely ( atleast I thought so ) Captured the flats of of the tidal area from the pics!

    I thought everything was well done, mix wise Don't hear anything that angers my ears! LoL But I just woke so they are still a lilttle blurry :P

    Thumbs up mate! 8) You are light years ahead of me in mixing and most definitely playing! Good stuff! thanks for posting.

    No way Rawb, I trawled the forum recently and had a listen to you...what I heard was great :)

    Glad you thought it captured the bay, never thought I would be able to convey what I see everyday....

    Shredd....there are loads of \"birds\" but no Shania's I'm afraid :)

    Just played it to some of the guys at work!

    At least two of them are walking round humming it now!!

    They now officially hate me! :lol:

    Looks like Nifty finally proved he really does have HIS OWN talent.
    I new you had it in ya. Great job dude. Song does fit the mood of the pics.
