Well, that's what I think she's singing! :)

My latest attempt guys, Pat Benatars Hit Me With Your Best Shot.

To be quite honest, not as good as I hoped :(

I had to rock the guitars up as I thought the backing track was a bit hot, this meant rocking up the solo even more. Really not happy with the tone on the solo but I'll put it down to experience and move on!

    Ah your to hard on yourself man! As I recall that song, it's been a while. BUT that sounded outstanding to me man! Great job! Love that Solo in that song! Bad Tone? :? Sounded great to me mix & all. Rock on Nifty :D

    Sounded fine. If you recall back, it was a pretty hard-edged song, especially the solo.
    The chica did a nice job emulating PB, who has a pretty rare set o' pipes. Too bad she didn't have someone writing better songs for her, or she'd have been bigger than Madonna, Debbie Harry, and Shania all rolled into one...

    Thanks guys but I really think it isn't that good.

    Tucopeat, I have so many songs in my head but I just can't sing, which is a real bummer!...so I always end up noodling with backing tracks.

    I am determined to get some of my own stuff down soon though. I have a couple of friends that say they will guest vocal for me so I really should get going with it, they can use my brand spanking new microphone 'cos it's no use to me!! :lol:

    I have an instrumental that I really want to do next, inspired partly by the place where I live so I must get that down soon......

    ....having said that I've started another backer tonight and I'm loving the rhythym sounds I have so far! :)

    So business as usual then!!

    Don't worry about singing. This is a Digitech Guitar Processor Forum really.
    If we listen to your stuff, we listen to what you do with your songs or playing which is pretty good i'll add. Someone said you were an old man? Well, keep rockin old man. I can't sing for nothin either. My mic is just for the Geetars!

    I also am in that category - I sing like the love child of Gilbert Gottfried and Fran Drescher. :oops:
    So...I also do primarily instrumentals, since singing on them would be like putting ground pepper on a hot fudge sundae. :roll:
    NUTHIN' wrong with instrumentals. If you can get a pal to sing, all the better.
    I did a bunch of tunes with a girl I used to play with singing, except that I recorded her vox separately from the music, and they didn't match up all that well. :?. That saga is detailed here on the forum (Member Music), and the songs are in my \"Mangling\" series, featuring the Songbird.
    I've tried to write lyrics to some of the songs I've written, but they're awful, which - combined with my heinous singing voice - would've ruined my songs. You can hear my originals at my SoundClick site, in my sig.

    Point is - if you write insturmentals or use BT's, and like the results, then do it. It beats grabbin your crotch and singing like a girl. UNLESS you make a hundred bazillion dollars doing it... :P
