G/C and no longer selling GNX4's

I was at the Guitar Center in my city and i seen they took the GNX4 down and no longer sell them. I wonder does that mean they will stop doing any software updates for it?? I just started to barely get to know mine. I did see a unit in its place a RP1000?? that sound right it looks really beefy and strong but i seen it didn't seem to have as many functions on it especially no recording features. Just wondering thats all not planning to change anything and thought it a good topic.

    The GNX4 is still in production and sold online, as well as all the authorized Digitech dealerships. The GC store you are talking about may be out of stock on the GNX4, or just featuring the RP 1000 on their display. Both pedal boards are top of their line. The RP series is a newer design, but not meant to replace the GNX4. I think most of us here would be happy if they continue to make and support the GNX4 until Shredd gets a date with Shania.
