HELP!!!! I need help with old 2101 effect processor
i just got an old digitech 2101 effect processor, and i just need to know how to plug into my mesa boogie Maverick amp, i want to learn to use the effects loop, but the manual decription of how to hook it up, is very vage so i am not sure how to properly hook it up, it seems when i plug it in, i loose all the controls of my amp, and i would like to still use my amp sound with this device going thru the effects loop,because i do like my amp sound and wanted to use this just to enhance my sound, not to completley get rid of my amp sound , and use only sound from effect processor, if someone can help guide me on how to properly hook it up, i would appriciate it.

Using it this way though, the GSP unit functions as a true pre-amp, and running through the effects loop of your amp bypasses the normal controls turning it into essentially just an amplifier of whatever is being routed via the effects loop.
Only way around this looses some functionality on the 2101, but you can run it in \"mono\" mode into the guitar input of your amp. Will take quite bit of tweaking on the patches to make them sound right though.
I don't use my 2101 anymore, but that's what I remember from the days I did use it. Good luck with your setup. The 2101 is a great live unit.,
