All yeah I did want to say your buddy did lay down a nice tasty lead there! fit very nicely 8)
  • Hey Partch Buddy,

Thanks for commenting. I called it The Thinking Mans Groove because I didn't know what else to call it and there is a statue of The Thinking Man on my desk and it was the first thing I saw. Maybe my next song will be named \"Old Wood Paneling\" LOL

I got Rich to pick up an RP so maybe we could collab a little more and post some more. Got to get him registered on here now. He's a good guy. You guys will like him. He's got some good ideas.
He's a good guitar player for leads, since I'll probably stick to the rythm side.
    Peace 8)
  • Nice groove there Roger... I hear shades of Peter Gabriel there.....good stuff man. Some nice guitar work by your bud there as well. I hope to hear more from you two in the future...
  • Hey Tuco. Peter Gabriel, I guess there could be a touch of that in there.
Styles I've been trying to do lateley have gone off in so many different directions I don't know what they are any more. Some friends I try to collab with have completly different styles and ideas about stuff. I guess that's good in a way. I find myself having a very short attention span to stuff lately. Maybe it's the negative energy comin from the doom and gloom economy or somthin. I've noticed it's kinda slow here on the forum too.
Glad your still around! 8) Cheers.
  • Dug it. Definitely my style, although lately I don't think much better than a monkey.
  • Roger,
Nice tune, with some interesting layers. Did you use any compression on this?
  • I used none in the mix. After I rendered it I used wavelabs multiband to bring it up to level and polish it a little. That's it. The drums sound a little compressed probably because I used a RnB kit out of Hypersonic 2. A little too much maybe? Sounds good on my giant JBL's anyway :)
  • I loved that Roger,

    Fantastic to float away to.

I closed my eyes and suddenly found myself at a gig......it was Floyd, Gabriel & Prodigy! :)

    Great work.
