OH. MY. GAWD.
This is related to my wailing thread about losing my job. :evil:
I just found out that a $3200 guitar I'd put on order back in January - which was due to be delivered Feb 9, then Feb 27, then Mar 16, then Apr 30, has again been promised for delivery May 22 - the exact day I'm due to become simultaneously unemployed and homeless.
This is a guitar that I probably won't even get to see, since I'll have to have it shipped to a friends' place or something like that.
Not that I can even afford it now, with my income stream cut off. :evil:
Can someone please explain to me what the he|| the meaning of all this is?!? :x

If it's some special order kinda thing...tell them had they honored the original delivery date, there would have been no problem.
They breached the contract, if there is any.
Call them (soon as possible) at least and see what can be done.
Not like a guitar like this can't be resold. Better if they never ship it, as well in that respect.
Problem is, this is one of those special issue git'rs, chances are this'll be the only chance I have to get one. (remember that thread I did a while back about whether I should pay a chunk o' dough for a really suh-weet git'r? The general consensus was, \"go for it\").
So...I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and get it (assuming they even ship this time, they've failed to 3 or 4 times), or call them and tell them I'm out.... :?
shredd PM me if you need my address for a forwarding address ! Just trying to help a friend in need! 8)
Thing about guitars to consider;
there are thousands of high end custom \"one of a kind\" so special, you'll never have another chance to own this \"rare\" guitar again, deal. You'll get another chance.
If you do much traveling outside the United States, one thing that will stand out in your mind, is how much we Americans are so compelled and consumed by possessions and buying things in order to feel happy. Many people in this world gauge happiness each day by how full their tiny belly feels. We may go through some rough times ahead in this Country, but we are blessed people, and we won't be kept down long.
You especially Shredd. You are a positive and smart person, and you make people feel happy. I can't imagine you not landing on your feet somewhere new and even better.
I pray for God to continue to bless you.
The only thing I need to consider is that I most likely won't have another chance to get one of these new. I'd have to look for a mint used one, down the road. Or not. Or just never have one. Or find something else that's just as tasty? :roll:
That said, I do empathize with you. So close to having a dream guitar. If you decide to keep it coming, I wouldn't blame you for that at all. If it is something you'd play all the time...then sell the other guitars if you have to, and keep this one. You have the weekend at least to consider this through.
