FTR cover(ed) Fiona Apple's Criminal
Alright, well first the not-so-good news. My primary band recently broke up (out of the blue, and very quickly). Everybody went their own separate ways and probably won't work together again. It wasn't a bad/bitter breakup, but just the atmosphere surrounding it suggest that this is done with for good.
So, even though the mixing on this isn't finished (and probably won't be), I'm going to let you guys hear this - let me know what you think.
Guitar is GNX3000 -> PC. The distortion was a last-minute decision (about 5 minutes before we recorded the rhythm tracks) and so not polished at the point when it was recorded. Bass is into a Line 6 amp -> direct to PC. Electric kit -> direct to PC, unfortunately we didn't have enough outputs on the drums (and no MIDI map for the old Roland) to do them on a separate channel, so snare/kick is channel 1, and everything else is channel 2, hence the mixing difficulties.
Vocals - this is (was) our most recent addition, Sandra (for those who read the \"what would you do in this situation\" thread). I might continue working with her on some originals that she and I started.
