Manitou becomes Digitech's new Truck Tour Driver...woohooo!
I just got word from the headquarters in Sandy, UT. that I'll be the new Driver for the Summer '09 Digitech Truck Tour.

They liked my stage-hand skills, as well as my million miles accident free logbook, and said they have been following my membership on the forum with high regard, and consider me an endearing representative for the company.
As a hiring bonus, I will get the full line of Hardwire Extreme Performance Pedals, and a new GSP1101 Guitar Preamp/Processor, which I requested from the list of gear.
They liked my \"beta testing\" by forum members idea, and said I can choose 3 more members for a team, and will not only get to keep the products we test, but have an employee discount on any of the Digitech product line. We will get to go to Sandy, UT. once a year to attend a workshop on the new products line, all expenses paid.

I suggested the 3 members to round out the \"beta testing\" team, should be the first three members to respond to this thread. I just felt it would be too hard to choose members in a fair manner, other than running the beloved \"Last Post\" contest once again. CEO Paliwal was rather pleased to notice one member from Canada, two members (including but not limited to me) from USA, and another member from Mexico.
I chuckled at how we could be known as the Eh-B-Si team. There was a long uneasy period of silence. Must have been lost in translation...I'm not sure.
Anyway, congratulations to the beta team members. You will be receiving the new prototypes shortly, and will receive your orientation papers, and some legal documents to fill out...and once I get a beta test check-off form made up, I'll fax them out.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, you all will get Digitech T-shirts (a $45 value).

By the way - speaking of driving records - here's the funniest April Fool's gag I've heard yet:
Some teenage kid gets his first parking ticket, so he gives the money to his dad so it can get taken care of. The dad tells the son he \"forgot\" to pay the parking ticket, and he'd gotten a call from the police department saying that there was an arrest warrant out for the kid.
He let the kid freak out all day before he let him off the hook.

Here in Mexico the equivalent to April´s Fools Day is on December 28´th, it´s a catholic memorial for the killing of new born children by king Herod in his madness to kill Baby Jesus.
We then play the same kind of jokes.
