got some bad tablature

I have been learning a song from guitar world and it seemed like the tabs were wrong from what I remember of the song and then i loaded the same song on guitar pro and I see its not even close to the same has that happened to anyone else and how can i make sure I am learning the right chords and such I cannot afford to buy guitar pro this month economy has finally hit me unfortunately. but I want to keep learning since i have plenty of down time and it will be something to keep me from getting depressed. i only have 6 days left on guitar pro trial can i print from guitar pro?? whats funny is what I thought the tab should be is really close to what the guitar pro showed me I was off by a bit though so I still cannot figure songs out myself yet. thanks

  • and whats even more interesting is other than the lead all the other guitar parts are really simple and I ve been working on the other one for a couple days cause it was hard for me to get it down. lol just thought thyat was funny I guess you could actually play the same song a few diffrent ways if ya really wanted too. and still be playing the same notes.
  • The best way is the learn how to tab things out yourself. Use other tabs as the basis. If something doesn't sound right, tab that part out yourself.

Yes. Run your cursor over the top icons, and you get a brief description of tasks. There is a little picture of a printer with a sheet of paper hanging out of it...6th one over. Some of these songs are like 5-6 pages long. You can choose what pages you want to print, if you don't need everything.

You can play the same notes all over the neck. My big fingers often have trouble with some licks up in the 19th position, so I'll move them down the neck where I have more room for my fingers.

    Open Guitar Pro.
    Click on Help.
scroll down to Guitar Pro on the Web...click on that.
On the web page, click the Download tab.
You will see the Guitar Pro manual, in PDF format.
Save the manual to your documents folder.
It will explain everything on the program.
  • thanks I found that printer function right after I posted sorry but the pdf will be great to read while im up late and not practicing thanks again you all are extremely helpful here.
  • Ya tabs can be a pain. But they a good guide lines to get going on! I always seem to find something outta place but whether it is me not getting the technique right or they are just plain wrong...?? If I can't get it I just throw it away and tell myself I never liked that song anyways

But seriously on that song with 2 different sources.... just wondering was one written for the song in standard tuning and the other in it's possible recorded tuning? just a thought.....
