a kaoss pad on the guitar :S

hi guys...I would like to get a kaoss pad,and was wondering how to put it on the guitar...Is there a velcroed solution or something? like a smaller pad(mini?)And how to connect it all?
Thanx for reading,and,eventually,for replying :)

  • Speakin' for myself...it'd really help to know just what IS a \"kaoss pad\"
  • It's a Korg product. There are several models of this thing, and they are touch pad effects processors. There is a mini version, about palm size, but I'm unsure why someone would want this attached to their guitar, other than I suppose there is some \"realtime\" touch pad changes you can access, while you are playing? Using it as a touchpad MIDI controller for stuff off your Digitech?

To hook this to a Digitech processor, you use RCA cables. Maybe you can alter patches, or other effects...but I'd rather just play my guitar, and not be a DJ mixer. Seems to me, one cable off my guitar is all I need to trip over.

Anyway, this is the strangest request post of the year so far. This is giving you a real run for top spot Shredd.
  • I'm assuming you're talking about running the GNX through the Kaoss effects - in which case, it looks like what Manitou suggested will work.
  • thank you mates for reading and replaying(shredd is so funny ;))...you got the point,Monitou...my band plays a kind of electronic-rock,with programming, synth, and digital fx.So I'm looking for this korg product because I use it a lot in the studio, but i'd want to use it during our live shows just like Matt Bellamy(from Muse) does. This mix of vintage guitar sound(I play a Les Paul Studio) and electronic stuff makes me go crazy and a mini kaoss pad attached on my guitar would be perfect to me.I don't wannna buy a korg guitar, with the pad already in it,so I've posted this\"strangest\"request as you said hehe, because you guys always have the right solution :)
  • That sounds great, I love that \"ethereal rock\" experimental sound stuff. And I don't even do drugs anymore. 8)
That said, the technology of it might get in the way of the playing. Like it says in g's signature, playing is mostly in the mind as well as the fingers...
  • MaKs,
Give this guy an email. He seems to have this setup all figured out. 8)
