Just got a huge dose of GAS buyin' a Schecter C1-EX Blackjack.
Found this deal on eBay...guy (100% rating) had one 9.9 out of 10. Said he played it for about 3 hours. Saw close up photos...no lie...it's like new.
He added 2 different size sets of strings. $350/$25 Shipping UPS/$4 insurance. I used PayPal which gave me a 10% discount, so my total was $344 to my door.
It has the 5 position switch, I liked better than the coil tap, and it doesn't have the poker card inlay...didn't care for that. Everything else is the same. Sweet.
okay, maybe when the medicine wears off, it will look hideous.
Here are some crappy photos off eBay. I can't resize the close ups right now. I don't care for the banding, but at least they used black chrome, and I do like other features. Nice locking Grovers, and nice set neck. Biggest plus for me is the 26.5 scale.
Well. I'm sure that all of you who're riveted with my fascinating existance :roll: will be delighted to hear that after a week or so of playing daily, my fingers are at least starting to feel like they can take a 3 or 4 song set at an open mic. Just a little practice and I'm good to go.
I'm thinking of dropping one of the chick songs I useta do with the songbird (I was going to do 2) and do this RUSH acoustic intro to an old song that I really like. So it'd be a chill acoustic thing - barely 2 minutes - then a nice uplifting Fogelberg tune, then one of the songbird songs.
Now, aren't you sorry you won't be there???

the only thing bad i heard was that the 5 way was noisy and needed spraying.
