\"Installing Presets\" for Dummies

Is there some kind of \"Installing Presets for Dummies\" web site out there? I downloaded a folder with tons of nice pre-sets in it, and have no idea where/how to organize the folders. If someone wants to give me a step-by-step detailed explanation, I'll gladly build a \"dummies\" page on my personal web site complete with screen shots to help others with my crippling affliction. Thanks!
