Experiments gone awry....
Well, after not being able to put anything up on the sound community :? I decided to bite the bullet and join Soundclick  A bit premature i believe. These are demos i did to make sure all systems were \"compatible\" and easy to use.So even though these songs were recorded in 2005-6,they were written in the early 1990's and i was still working \"bugs\" out
I recorded these songs in 5.1 and well,by the time you get it to mp3,alot of the mix goes to he11 and a handbasket so sorry about that too
and just remember.....I'm a drummer

2nd tune the End Love the theme & idea yes it is invitable we will come to our end someday. Hopefully we are ready when that day comes. Love the sound bytes etc.. mood you tie this thing togethor great. Again love the Tones playing Bass & drums just sound great! My biggest gripe with this tune is the Vocal. I could understand very little of what you were saying. This kind of almost ticked me off cause I wanted to know! You voice sounds good take some effect verb etc.. off it and bring them up some in the mix and again for a long song you have a winner 8)
Last tune Temple of memories this song moved along well kept you interested was not near as long. I like the feel in this one! What for scale are you using & playing over the chords? Just wondering I like the sound of it! Great stuff man you certainly know what your doing & have like you said been around it. It shows. I enjoyed it 8) God bless!
All them guitars you do and your a drummer? Wow, do you build custom kits too?
Thumbs up mate!
p.s, I went to church this past Sunday and one of the members on the PWT had a green arcyrlic BC Rich! Dang that puppy was heavy! And a chick was slingging it! Dang nobody ever would complain about an LP again if they strapped one of them on! Kudos to her! I know OT, but since you dig them BC's thought I would mention it. sorry, but it was pointy!
 thank you Partch, that means alot 8) this winter i WILL be remixing these to sound better in mp3 format and resubmit them on soundclick
alot of the time I'll come up with a riff or groove and I'll play it till i come up with an \"answer\" for it,then having both parts. Then i will record them in a 3 time repetative succession to jam to.This is when I throw in differant drum parts and bass parts untill i feel a positive vibe. When thats completed,i jam over it testing differant melodies and phrases until I hit paydirt. Some projects get to this point in 15 minutes and others in 15 years  .Some of these turn into full fledge songs, some stay unfinished, and then theres ones that just sound right the way they are as a jam.I like to drive/ride on winding roads get into a zone with a good, non complicated instrumental that can relax you but allow to to focus on the sport of the drive/ride.THIS song is perfect for that IMHO.This was the first song i did that utilized my \"analog\"( :P )drumset.it took a month to dial in with mic placement and mixer/effect controls to where i can now just \"plug and play\" 8) the drums were recorded in one take without a click track with the headphones turned low so the overheads wouldn't pick up
yeah, the mp3 downgrade boosted the bass and guitars and the vocals seriously suffered
i have not a clue as to the key its in as I know theory but have never applied it to guitar  This recording sufferred the most i feel in the mp3 downgrade  The guitars are meant to have a violin/oboe tone to them with enough chorus to kind of give it a faint sitar flavor.Saddly i can barely make out the individual parts. In the 5.1 version,i morphed the two guitar parts to pan around the room real slow so that each verse starts on the opposite side as the last yet they are both 30% right and left during the chorus sections 8) but.......sadly its missed
thank you for sharing your knowledge and time Partch and may God bless you as well 8)
Thanks Rawb 8) .....and I'm more stubborn than talented
i can build drums but i barely have room for what i have now
 a bc rich in a church? The green ones are very thick but my red one is thinner and weighs about 10 lbs easy but not the 12-13 lbs the green ones are :x My friend has a green acrylic bich and mockingbird plus an aquamarine LP2 bcr.Great thing about bcr's is that you can get them cheap, they're out of the norm, and with a few adjustments can play like dream for less than $350  Glad you brought it up!
thanks again RAWB 8)

W  W!
Thank You Robert
growing up i listenned to alot of classical music and progressive rock.I loved odd time signatures and dissonant key signatures. To me,the combinations were like a well thought out chess game and deeply intrigued me.Thats the main reason why i decided to learn percussion in 4th grade.I stuck with it until i graduated and for several years before that i would take lessons from 3 differant teachers including the lead percussionist of the Syracuse Symphony.Unfortunately it all ended on my 18th birthday but the passion never did.So maybe some of the knowledge didn't go through both ears afterall  :P
Thank you guys for getting me off my butt and doing this. Its greatly appreciated. 8)
