Tube amp and Digitech
Well after a lot of demos , from Mesa Roadking to Peavey ValveKing, I finally bought an all tube amp, the new Bugera 6260 2x12 combo. Great sound at a very low price. Electronics are great, quality on cabinet and controls are not quite the same as some of the others but good enough for my usage. The Roadking was amazing and $2000+++. I tried to like others but always came back to the Bugera becuase the clean was excellent and the gain was over the top. I sold a 5150 about 7 years ago and always regreted it, I feel the Bugera has a simular but better sound although finish quality is in a lower league. But I only paid $500 for the Bugera 2x12 combo, new.
I currently own, love, and use a GNX3 with Supermodels and Truths.
Now for the important part, perserving tone. I wish I could integrate the GNX effects with the new amp, but we know how that goes. I am really considering the GSP1101 because it is so simular in function. I have always been a Digitech/DOD guy. I am considering the Boss GT-10, Line 6 M13 (maybe an X3 Live), and TC Nova (and possibly G series). If the GSP had a looper I think I would be set. I like the four cable method but I am unsure of how the suond of the GSP preamp would be using this setup. If the GNX4 had an effects loop and routing options for the amp preamp I would go that direction. The other options are individaul pedals, but I haven't done that for years (since the RP1). I tested a few but still prefer the GNX3 effects.
I am sure the GNX5? will have more flexible routing options, but who knows if or when that will be available.
I would love to hear peoples thoughts on these different scenarios and your experiences.

Dream Killer!
I have that directly from Digitech's market manager. No more Guitar Workstation - GNX3000 was the last of its kind.
Sorry bud. I was as disappointed as you.
