RP-7 expression pedal help needed, please?
Hi, I didn't know where to post this, so I'll try in this main discussion area. I have a GNX 3000 and a RP-7. I have been making my own patches for both but can't find anything in the manual on setting the expression pedal on the RP-7.In the manual it doesn't tell you what EP1, 2 etc. do.
Can you help me figure this out, am sure someone knows. I want to use it mainly for volume, OK? Thanks for helping, appreciate it, psingman

When you go into EP 1 etc, Select the LINK.
The LINK is what establishes which parameter is being assigned. No link means nothing assigned.
Set EXP PEDAL link to EP 11 (IIRC)
Adjust the pedal for min and max value. Zero is min. I don't remember which is max.. 100 or 127...
EXP assign LINKS are assigned to the EP designations on the RP7 matrix. If you look at the matrix you see ( EP1) ( EP2) etc.. where different effects are listed. The EP values in Parenthesis are the LINK values you have to assign to link the EXP pedal to that parameter.
For ex:
Enter edit mode
PRESS EDIT
Use the PARAMETER adj arrows to navigate ( Left /Right for Horiz movement within the matrix, UP / Down for Vertical)
Set EXP PEDAL so the LED in the matrix corresponds to EXP using the Parameter Select buttons. IOW, use the PARAM SELECT arrows until EXP assign LED is indicated in the matrix.
Now use the Parameter Select buttons to indicate MIN VALUE within the matrix. Set the value with the VALUE buttons.
Select the MAX Value using the Param Select button to light up the led in the MAX VALUE matrix ( just under min value indicator). Use the VALUE buttons to assign the max value. Press Store. Press Store again to accept changes.
I like the simplicity of the RP-7, but the sounds of the GNX 3000 are more defined, thicker, and smoother. Anyway, will try out the EXP pedal settings and drop a line in here with the results, appreciate the input, psingman
