  • 8) Welcome back Mike! Se ya around bro :D
  • I have a mac; it's an Intel with Tiger. For what it's worth, I was a life-long WIndows guy, and I've found OSX to be much less headaches. It does take a bit of getting used to, as there's some subtle differences, but it's not near as different from WIN as it would seem.
It has garage band; I haven't used it much. I could see it being very useful for putting together drum tracks though.
It also is able to record instruments; I haven't done it, but I'd bet it works better than PTP. Then again, I have a 15-year-old lawnmower that works better than PTP. :?
I haven't used BIAS Deck either; ever since I decided that computer recording is crap, I record on hardware. But it can't be any worse than PTP.

PS - know any hott single women who would prefer to live in the scenic Rocky Mtns instead of the Gulf coast??
  • Welcome back. Garage Band--I had someone suggests this to me about 2 years ago, they swore by it and love it. I never bought it, did use PTP, but like Shredd said--it was a pain. I use sonar now, don't seem to have any probs with except that I gotta learn how to download some drums--like cymbal crashes and stuff.

As far as Mac goes--not a clue--still in windows.

    Good luck to ya
  • Glad to see you back Mike..
  • thanks Tal. :) I was beginning to be concerned about your well being. It's good to hear from you. Hope things are well with you and Mrs. Tal.
