Self-indulgence...put to music?
This is another one I don't really have an explanation for. I was sort of having a Monday last week. This is what came out of it.
A lot of it was playing with my toys to make myself feel better. I used just about everything on this: both my Ibanez git'rs, my Dean ac/el, and my Peavey Cirrus bass; my ZOOM drum toy; and my new Roland JUNO-D. Even got a little slide action going.
It proved a good outlet. I felt better. Now if only Anne Hathaway liked it.

I think it's kind of a good \"morning\" song. At least if you don't think about what it's about...

8^p~~~
Glad you liked it, and thanks for listening!
Yuh, I'll admit that RUSH music is a huge influence on me, and if I could play like Lifeson, life would be tasty and I wouldn't feel so bad about Liz not loving me anymore.
(I did use a \"tubular bells\" sound in the end part; they used real ones on FTK) (uh, that's the \"Farewel To Kings\" album, for non-RUSHites...)
So...I didn't quite grasp your meaning - the song should have more Lifeson vibe, or you thought it did?
(PS was listening to iPod yesterday on scramble, and RUSH's \"What You're Doing\" came up...now that's early Lifeson vibe!!)
When I heard the bells I started singing \"and the men who hold high places must be the ones to start...\"
it was freaky when I read your reply and said something about farewell to kings, I was thinking the same thing. Like I say \"great minds think alike\"
You definitely hear Alex in you.
